The Canadian Eventing Committee has announced the recipients of the 2013 Canadian Eventing Athlete Development Scholarships. Congratulations to Young Riders Leah Breakey of Carstairs, AB and David Ziegler of Beiseker, AB. Leah Breakey Breakey, 20, competed her own Master Plan, the 17-year-old Canadian bred Oldenburg gelding, in their first CCI 2* competition at the Galway Downs Three Day Event Temecula CA, USA November 1-3, 2013 where they finished 20th. In 2013 Breakey also competed Donna Figile, an 11-year-old Canadian Warmblood mare, at the one star level. Breakey’s 2014 goal with Master Plan is to compete in the CH Y2* 2014 North American Young Riders Championships July 15-20, 2014.
